About Us Nova Scotia Environment and Climate Change (ECC) has a mandate to protect the environment, and human health through regulatory excellence, conservation, partnership and promotion. To achieve this, we strive to develop legislation, regulations, standards, policies, and guidance for regulated activities based on sound scientific knowledge and expertise. As part of the Resource Management Unit of the Environmental backssment Sustainability and Applied Science branch, you will be a member of a small, tight-knit collaborative, collegial and accomplished group of professionals. Working within a fast-paced environment where collaboration is key, this group plays an integral role in the success of the department’s program and regulatory management. About Our Opportunity As Solid Waste Resource-Management Environmental Analyst, you will work closely with other members of the Resource Management Unit to support circular economy and waste management initiatives that our team is undertaking including expanding extended producer responsibility programs, reducing the use of single use plastics, and reducing solid waste disposal rates to no more than 300 kilograms per person per year by 2030.
