The Position: Responsible for working with operations, maintenance and technical services to improve the processes and productivity and reduce costs in the Wire Mill Finishing department. Troubleshoot specific process concerns as directed. Responsibilities: Study machinery and processes to understand workflow path to discover waste streams and eliminate. Develop best case scenarios related to inventory control, machinery design and layout, and personnel efficiencies. Assist in development training requirements for operations and collaborating with operations and maintenance to resolve systemic issues. Assist in RCA and problem-solving exercises to increase uptime and throughput, including material handling options and product flow. Assist with safety exposure reductions where design and process modifications could improve such. Assist with new equipment commissioning from design through launch. Work closely with maintenance planner to develop robust preventative maintenance measures and systems alignment. Catalogue and prioritize work to achieve the greatest ROI of time spent. Testing and reporting of newly adopted practices and methods. Interface effectively with other members of supervision and personnel from other departments and ISWA personnel Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical from a four year college or university is preferred but will consider those with 5+ years of experience in similar role. Must possess a positive attitude. Must be a dedicated self-starter with independent action qualities. Must have a willingness to learn new processes. Ability to multi-task and maintain multiple projects. Must be able to travel to other plants within the United States. Travel is limited. PAY RANGE: $70,000-$88,000 The Location: Liberty Steel & Wire is based in Peoria, IL.
