Join us as a medical director in upstate New York. The medical director is responsible for implementation of resident care policies; and the coordination of medical care in the facility. You will oversee the medical care and other designated care and services at the campus. Under these regulations, the medical director is responsible for coordinating medical care and helping to implement and evaluate resident care policies that reflect current professional standards of practice. Job Details: Great opportunity to run facilities with multiple staff 50% of the time on site and 50% remote Can live in Upstate NY or elsewhere Job Responsibilities: Drive high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care in post-acute care facilities Collaborate with other clinician interdisciplinary teams and follow CMS guidelines Work closely with hospice, palliative care, and home care agencies for safe patient transitions Ensure timely documentation and billing through our EMR (Gehrimed) meeting Medicare guidelines Administrative decisions including recommending, developing and approving facility policies related to residents care Handle issues related to the coordination of medical care identified through the facility's quality assessment and assurance committee and other activities related to the coordination of care Participate in the Quality Assessment and Assurance (QAA) committee or assign a designee to represent him/her Ensuring the appropriateness and quality of medical care and medically related care Assisting in the development of educational programs for facility staff and other professionals Working with the facility's clinical team to provide surveillance and develop policies to prevent the potential infection of residents Cooperating with facility staff to establish policies for assuring that the rights of individuals (residents, staff members, and community members) are respected Supporting and promoting person-directed care such as the formation of advance directives, end-of-life care, and provisions that enhance resident decision making, including choice regarding medical care options Assisting in developing systems to monitor the performance of the healthcare practitioners including mechanisms for communicating and resolving issues related to medical care and ensuring that other licensed practitioners (e.g., nurse practitioners) who may perform physician-delegated tasks act within the regulatory requirements and within the scope of practice as defined by State law About TeamHealth: TeamHealth is a large integrated practice that spans several specialties with over 20,000 clinicians in 35 states We have a 93% job satisfaction among our physicians and clinicians Clinical and medical director roles available and room for growth within the organization Respond with your CV to this opening to learn more about joining our team!California Applicant Privacy Act: https://www.teamhealth.com/california-applicant-privacy-notice/ - Life, health, disability, dental, and vision insurance- 401k retirement plan- Paid time off- CME- Flexible Spending Account- Customize your own schedule to create your ideal work-life balance- No primary night call- Signing bonus and relocation incentives available for full-time- Highly competitive base salary and uncapped monthly bonuses- Paid professional liability insurance with tail coverage- 70-day onboarding program with MIPS training and support- Well developed infrastructure with extensive back-office support- Growth opportunities into local and national leadership positions- Company issued iPad with training and support for EHRimed EMR- Opportunities to collaborate with other clinicians
