Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Sr Manager, Engineering in Suwanee, GA. POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Manager of Engineering is responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high quality and competitive advanced controls & energy products and engineering services. Areas of responsibility include sales & estimating support, new offering creation, engineering, station creation, panel fabrication, programming, graphics, and energy services. Additional responsibilities include mentoring & management of Engineering staff and the support of & coordination with other internal teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Manage the Hardware, Software, and Applied Engineering teams. Provide daily management, training, and mentorship. Prioritize team member's areas of focus. Prescribe and resolve escalated issues as needed. Ensure the efficient execution of engineering activities including hardware design, sourcing, procuring, & receiving materials, vendor coordination & payment, fabrication, programming, and project management coordination. Develop and continuously improve processes between internal teams to optimize customer value from engineering. Areas of focus will be pipeline management, labor efficiency, customer relationship (CRM) and budgetary analytics. Develop & maintain a network of authorized vendors who will provide components, fabrication, and programming services. Negotiate terms, enforce quality standards, and establish required lead times. Implement, monitor, and analyze key performance to evaluate project pipeline, project closing rates, project performance and profitability and any other necessary measurable targets. Use available software tools to create reports for leadership as needed. Maintain and update design standards and templates for drawings, application requirements, standard end device selection, and stocked end devices. Complete internal analysis and help make decisions on overall Applied Projects approach and strategy. Work with senior leadership teams to develop and maintain standards & best practices for all Applied Projects sales, products, services, estimating, and software Assist in the development and maintenance of training programs for Applied Projects products and services as needed. Mentor and support other internal team members. Willing to travel up to 20 % to for various Company meetings and training both domestically and possibly internationally Other Duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent discipline. 10 or more years of technical experience including HVAC equipment, controls system design, building management, or integration experience. 5 or more years technical experience with HVAC controls fundamentals and ancillary technology including but not limited to, BAS software, LonWorks, BACnet, MODBUS, and IP networks. 5 or more years' experience as a team manager with multiple direct reports in engineering and/or operations. Experience with Niagara or other major BAS platform is required. Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and similar standard business software applications. Strong leadership, communication, and writing skills. Analytical approach to problem solving. Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously. The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $165,000 /year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
