The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings and motions and conducting depositions, with a focus on trademark, copyright, and entertainment law.Duties:Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.Respond to complex discovery requests and prepare discovery requests.Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel.Defend and conduct depositions.Present oral arguments at hearings.Prepare for trial, including exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, and witness preparation.Prepare appellate briefs.Requirements:2-5 years of trademark, copyright, and entertainment litigation and counseling experience.Strong academic credentials.Excellent judgment and communication skills.Commitment to providing excellent client services.Preferred Qualifications:Trial experience.Experience with drafting and responding to pleadings, discovery, motions, and depositions.Familiarity with overall litigation and counseling strategy.Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility to waive in.Skills:Legal research and writing.Litigation strategy.Negotiation.Attention to detail.Time management.Team collaboration.
