Phenix is a renowned, family-owned label printing company that operates across the entire country. Currently, we are gearing up to expand our business into new markets, and as such, we are on the lookout for a highly experienced and competent Senior Sales Executive. The ideal candidate should possess an in-depth knowledge of the flexible packaging industry and be able to help Phenix establish a strong presence in this market. Additionally, the Senior Sales Executive should be able to take on an informal leadership role, inspiring and guiding the sales team towards achieving our ambitious goals.The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for making contact with prospects and existing customers to solicit business for Phenix. Acts as the liaison between Phenix and the customer to understand the product's required specifications and end use. This includes an understanding of our internal and technical processes, such as material and adhesive selection, art, and various methods of print production. Works with the Estimating Manager to secure pricing and communicate that pricing to our customers and prospects.Essential Functions:• Answers customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and credit terms.• Recommends products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.• Contacts regular and prospective customers to promote products and solicit orders.• Processes estimates and quote requests, credit or contract terms, and delivery dates.• Consults with clients to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.• Prepares drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs.• Provides customers with product samples and prototypes.• Identifies prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participatingin organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.• Monitors market conditions, product innovations, competitors' products, prices, and sales.• Works with the V.P. of Sales and Marketing to negotiate details of contracts.• Works with the Estimating Manager to process bid requests accurately and efficiently by completing therequired bid request form.• Works with the customer service team to process orders accurately and efficiently by completing required salesorder form.• Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filingexpense account reports.• Obtain credit information about prospective customers.• Maintain detailed technical knowledge of Phenix Label Company's manufacturing capabilities and constantlyincreasing knowledge on the changes and advances of the label and packaging industries.• Maintain an understanding of flexographic printing, processes, services, pricing, and materials to ensureestimates accurately reflect expected performance.• Complete any reasonable request of management necessary to effectively operate the department/company.• Suggests improvements to sales techniques, and acts to improve timeliness or reduce costs. Physical and Other Requirements: This job is performed indoors in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. Job tasks are performed in close proximity to other people and, when entering the adjacent manufacturing plant, include exposure to strobe lights, sounds and noise levels that are distracting. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, walk and bend. The employee must frequently sit, talk, listen, and lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
