VTC Engineer Level IV Full-time Location: Warner Robins, GA Veterans First Initiative, LLC (VFI) is a U.S. Government Contractor and IT Services Integrator that delivers Network, Unified Communications, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity Engineering and Infrastructure Solutions on a global scale. VFI seeks an experienced, professional VTC Engineer Level IV for a complex, multi-year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services. The HQ AFRC VTC environment consists of VTC suites using IP-based connectivity. In addition to performing engineering tasks, the VTC Engineer Level IV will supervise a staff of VTC Technicians who coordinate conference room audiovisual setup and/or virtual events (TEAMS/Zoom.gov). Additionally, the VTC hub located at HQ AFRC will provide VTC hosting services to AFRC, AFRC host bases, and AFRC tenants expanding local support to users throughout the command. Note: the candidate must possess an active DoD Secret clearance Location: Robins AFB/Warner Robins, GA Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends as needed Travel: Minimal, less than 10% Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the Video Teleconferencing (VTC) hub manager for VTC hub (located at HQ AFRC) supporting VTC session hosting across AFRC. Program and integrate VTC controllers (Currently Crestron) products. Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate VTC requests/sessions. Maintain the VTC Account Database. Track, document and brief management on VTC utilization trends. Maintain and update web-based VTC schedule. Provide access list for room supporting VTC hub infrastructure equipment. Provide maintenance and/or troubleshooting support for legacy ISDN issues affecting VTC hub services. Maintain inventory control. Provide enterprise installation support, technical documentation, ongoing troubleshooting and maintenance, and on-site training support for VTC services. Act as enterprise VTC network maintenance focal point; receive s and respond s to alerts from VTC users/network VTC systems. Act as primary POC for VTC system maintenance vendors and coordinates with government representatives for actions requiring a financial commitment. Coordinate with appropriate vendors for maintenance support. Configure systems, communications devices, and peripheral equipment. Develop and maintain AFRC VTC Directory. Install, configure , and upgrade network hardware/software. Develop training materials, and train on-site personnel in the proper use of the VTC-Audio/Visual (A/V) hardware/software. Support on-site installations from third-party maintenance contractor. Perform safe custodian duties. Manage secure key material for classified VTC equipment. Integrate VTCs and A/V equipment with third-party communications solutions (e.g., Creston). Provide monthly VTC usage reports with a ninety-nine percent (99%) success rate of VTC sessions per month. Ensure NIPR/SIPR CAT vulnerabilities for each assigned server do not exceed AFRC, AF, DISA, or DoD vulnerability thresholds. Author Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for non-traditional collaboration tools such as peer-to-peer conferencing services, e.g. Teams, Zoom, etc. Contact the appropriate Government and/or commercial agencies to resolve maintenance problems. Ensure backups, restores, and monitoring are being accomplished in accordance with applicable procedures. Coordinate, document, test, validate, and deploy new technology provided by Government. Participate in Government program/project reviews, technical meetings, and briefings. Provide input to on-site contract manager as required to support deliverables. Requirements and Qualifications: At least 7 years of experience with Enterprise VTC service delivery. At least 7 years of experience administering and configuring VTCs and A/V suites. At least 3 years of experience engineering VTC over IP. Advanced understanding of Crestron products, integration, and programming. Advanced understanding of A/V technologies. Advanced understanding of VTC technologies and common architecture equipment (e.g., Cisco, Codian). At least 1 year multicast on desktop experience (streaming audio/video), audio conferencing, point-to-point, and multipoint video conferencing. At least 1 year experience working with AF network architecture and security including: Authority to Operate (ATO) changes and considerations. Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certifications. Approved Products List (APL) Telecommunications Electronics Material Protected from Emanating Spurious Transmissions (TEMPEST) and Emission Security (EMSEC) standards. Potential for Telework: Extremely limited, based on customer needs.
